Karen Walker’s Spring ’13 eyewear collection was a glorious launch split into two halves: the first, modelled by elegant ladies aged between 65-92, and the second, by these little munchkins.
We always wanted to do sort of a bookend campaign about optimism,” Walker told Style.com. “The first shoot was based on eternal optimism, and the second part is about the open-eyed, playful optimism that kids bring.”
Optimism is right – after seeing these four, I have never been so optimistic about the style trailblazers of the future. Give it 15+ years and I can definitely see Tyler, Claudia, Elise and Alice-Rose forming a new ultra-hip Primrose Hill set, based in some currently off-the-radar pocket of Zone 2, stepping out with the likes of Suri Cruise and Apple and Moses Martin.
